Figured we should do a detailed tour of our cars, and in this post we will take a look at our 2017 TRD Offroad 4Runner! It's tough when we both want to take our cars on trips, but sometimes it's just more practical to take one over the other. The best trips are when we get to take both! On our longer trips that are more relaxed with less technical off-road driving we take the Crosstrek. When compared to the Crosstrek, the 4Runner absolutely blows through a tank of gas. The Crosstrek gets more than double the MPG, so not only is it cheaper, it's a lot less fuel stops on the longer drives. I bought the car knowing mpg is nowhere near one of the features of it, but it is extremely convenient to not have to deal with getting gas multiple times a day. Depending on what we are planning to do, the 4Runner gives us a lot more storage space for gear. Somehow with more space we still manage to pack it to the limit. The 4Runner definitely can handle more off the road compared to the Crosstrek, so if we have anything semi serious planned we will take the 4runner. Below is a list of some of upgrades we have done to our 4Runner!
